A non-destructive method for detecting and mapping underground installations, cavities, soil layers, and other subsurface structures. It is used for engineering projects, infrastructure, and archaeological research. Depending on the underground medium, it can penetrate 3 to 9 meters below the surface. It can pass through concrete, wood, and rock—essentially everything except water and clay.

This method is excellent for inspecting underground areas accessible by vehicles. It allows for early detection of subsurface anomalies, earthquakes, landslides, and collapses of embankments, roads, highways, and similar structures.
